I crafted this wood artwork by hand with many tools in my studio, including a digital tablet and pencil for drawing the scene of the Teton mountains (as seen from the Wyoming side), a scroll saw for cutting out the individual puzzle pieces that make up the Tetons drawing, a miter saw for cutting the strips of exotic and domestic hardwoods including Purpleheart, Black Walnut, reclaimed white oak, as well as cedar wood, for the face of the art piece, and a table saw for trimming the piece and for creating strips for framing this piece.
The sky and part of the geometric design is shaded using custom water based wood stains.
This piece is 4 feet wide by 2 feet tall.
